Jennifer Lynn Woolley is a professor of management and entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University. Her research and teaching focus on entrepreneurship, innovation and the emergence of firms, industries, and technologies.

Research

Dr. Woolley's research has been published in several journals including Academy of Management Discoveries, Organization Science, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and Journal of Product Innovation Management. She has presented her work at many conferences including the Academy of Management, Strategic Management Society, DRUID, and Corporate Social Responsibility Americas conference. She is also an editorial board member of the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Business and Management.  Dr. Woolley's research has been funded by the National Science Foundation and Kauffman Foundation.

Awards

She has received several awards including The EGOS Best Paper Award, The Best Paper Award for the Sustainability, Ethics and Entrepreneurship Conference, The Heizer Award for Outstanding Research, Research Promise Award (AOM-IDEA Awards), Booz-Allen Hamilton/Strategic Management Society PhD Fellowship Award, the Ray Watson Doctoral Fellowship, a Kauffman Foundation Fellowship, and the Regents Fellowship at UCI.

Other

Dr. Woolley participated in the creation of the California Program for Entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University, an intensive training program for non-matriculating entrepreneurs. 

Her consulting work focuses on helping entrepreneurs bring ideas to fruition.  

Before returning to academia, Professor Woolley worked in international financewith several firms including Ericsson Wireless, San Diego National Bank, First National Bank, Key Bank, Ashley Kumar & Company, Newton-Wellesley Home Health, and Westhold Corporation.
